Gifts to Support Students

There are few contributions that produce the rate of return offered by investing in students. Today's students are our future leaders and investing in their education impacts us all. Each student receiving the gift of higher education returns that gift many fold to countless others throughout their lifetime.

Scholarships

Scholarships are the lifeblood of educational dreams. They will help worthy students by covering tuition and fees related to their academic endeavors. They can vary in size to cover full or partial tuition. Support is targeted based on need.

Operating Scholarships - These gifts are used to support students during the next available scholarship awarding cycle.

Named Scholarships - We are able to name scholarships after a donor or loved one, if the donor is able to commit to a $1,000 gift minimum and make at least a three year commitment.

Named Endowed Scholarships - Named scholarship endowments may be created. The gift is placed into an endowment account. Interest earned on that endowment is used to support worthy students in perpetuity.

A gift made in memory or in honor of a teacher, student, relative or friend is a generous and thoughtful gesture to recognize an individual's life and accomplishments.

When an honorary or memorial gift is made, The Compass Fund notifies the honoree or next of kin. To make an honorary gift, send a letter indicating the purpose of your gift as well as the name and address of the honoree. For memorial gifts, if a memorial fund has not already been established, you should note somewhere on your check the name of the honoree and include the name and address of his/her next of kin.

Matching Gifts Look Up

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees.

If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. We will do the rest. The impact of your gift to our school may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
